Rovio provided the first-ever gameplay video for Angry Birds Star Wars. The cross-over game footage shows the bird versions of Luke and Leia kicking some ass.

Angry Bird Star Wars operates just like any other Angry Birds game. You use a slingshot to fling birds at pigs hiding inside structures. You can kill the birds with a direct hit or make buildings topple onto them.

This particular game has visuals inspired by the Star Wars films, though. The pigs are dressed like Sand People or Storm Troopers in the two maps seen here. Luke and Leia are two of the usable birds and can fire a blaster or swing a lightsaber. One of the structures on a Hoth level even looks like an AT-AT.

The music played throughout the trailer is that jingle from the Mos Eisley Cantina featured in Episode IV. I hope they licensed the music from the films for the actual game. I mean, if you're going to make a money-grubbing cross-over, you may as well be thorough.

Angry Birds Star Wars will arrive November 8th on iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Kindle Fire, Mac and PC.
