CBS has deemed another Super Bowl advertisement unacceptable. This time it's a commercial for the PC/PS3/360 hack-and-slash game Dante's Inferno.
The game (and its trailer) are quite violent but that's not what miffed CBS. Instead, the point of contention was the game's motto: "Go To Hell." An edited version, carrying the motto "Hell Awaits," will run instead.
Some gamers will take exception to the censorship just on principle alone. Still, EA's getting exactly what they wanted here. They've been trying to stir up controversy the whole year through heavy-handed viral marketing stunts.
