The latest DLC pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been dated. The Supremacy map pack will launch on June 2nd, next Tuesday. Activision and Sledgehammer Games let loose a new trailer to show off the game's latest maps.
The trailer throws out a lot of content all aimed at enticing gamers within two and a half minutes. Things kick off with the brand new Kremlin map that takes place in and around the Kremlin in Moscow, Russia. There's a war-torn theme at play where cars litter the streets, propaganda is hoisted up through decorations and there's plenty of snow and ice to spread around. The map has a couple of inclined areas, perfect for sniping, as well as some corridors and open outdoor segments to keep the deathmatch flowing fast and furiously, just as one would expect from a Call of Duty game.
The Parliament map sees players battling in and around London's Big Ben. The map is mostly situated on the Thames with what looks like a cargo carrier. There isn't much to say about this map because there isn't a whole lot showcased – it appears to be small and contained and seems to fit the spirit of the typical fast-paced map. The dual-wielding while sliding under the laser fire was really snazzy, though.
The Compound map is a typical, close quarters combat map with a lot of boxes and tight corners to keep the action fast and contained. It's literally a map situated within a compound so searching for opponents or getting lost isn't the order of the day. I imagine this will be a popular map for team deathmatch.
The Skyrise map is a rooftop battle zone with a helipad and a flying transport hovering overhead. There's some office areas that make up for a small portion of the map but most of it takes place outside on the skyscraper's cluttered roof area. This map seems reminiscent of another map from I think Call of Duty: Ghosts or maybe it was Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, I can't really remember but there was another map with a skyscraper theme similar to this one. If you missed the map from a previous Call of Duty title at least you can gorge on the highrise high-life in Advanced Warfare.
And last but not least, a new exo-zombie map has been added called “Carrier”. The new map takes place on an Atlas carrier that's overrun with exo-zombies. It's impossible for me to properly describe what's happening in the exo-zombie carrier segment if you haven't already watched the video. The best way to lay down the details is that it contains a lot of bloody explosions, gunfire and some crazy contraptions that slice, dice and mince up body parts like some kind of mobile meat grinders.
