Crysis 3 is set to hit the retail and digital market this week, giving gamers the world over yet another chance to take on the role of Prophet, don his iconic Nanosuit and but lots of bullets and arrows into the enemy on an adventure through a future New York that has been choked by wildlife. EA and Crytek are reporting record numbers of beta and pre-order participation and, if you act soon, you can still take advantage of some pretty sweet deals.

Coming to the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the PC exclusively through Origin, Crysis 3, EA is now reporting that more than 3 million worldwide players have taken part in the game's online beta. With Crysis 3 set to launch in just a few days, pre-orders are currently up 35 percent over Crysis 2.

“In Crysis 3, players return to the fight as Prophet on his quest to save mankind,” reads a statement from EA. “Set in New York, the city has been encased in a Nanodome that has turned this once thriving metropolis into a veritable urban rainforest teeming with overgrown trees, dense swamplands and raging rivers. Seven distinct and treacherous environments become known as the 7 Wonders.”

I'm guessing we'll be vising those “wonders” one at a time in Crysis 3, then turning them into mini war zones thanks to all of that artillery we'll be packing.

In case you're still eager to pre-order Crysis 3 and just haven't gotten to it yet, you might want to step on it. Crysis 3 comes out on Feb. 19, which is only a few days away. If you head to Origin to make your pre-order, you can get the Hunter Edition of the game for $59.99. That pre-order comes with a physical or digital copy of the game, a free copy of the original Crysis and some bonus content. The $79.99 Digital Deluxe pack, however, comes with everything I just listed, as well as a copy of Crysis 2: Maximum Edition, some additional DLC packs and a copy of the game's soundtrack.
