Last night, Nintendo dropped a total bombshell on the gaming community when they made a number of announcements pertaining to the new Nintendo NX, The Legend Of Zelda game and E3. But the internet has had quite a lot to say when it comes to Nintendo’s announcements, and not all are overly positive.

Nintendo also announced that they would begin to bring Nintendo games to smartphones, starting with Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem.

For others, the feelings toward all of Nintendo’s announcements were bittersweet.

Some Twitter users have even expressed concern for Nintendo’s future. Matter of fact, Nintendo’s stocks even fell today after the announcements last night.

But there are still some people who have faith in the company.

While that’s not the most positive comment about Nintendo’s new strategy, it’s still a brighter outlook than what much of the internet has been predicting.

With how popular mobile games have become lately, I do agree with the last Tweet that it’s something I think Nintendo feels like they have to do in order to survive. I mean, it’s not like we can expect a VR headset from Nintendo anytime soon, because that’s really how they could hop back in the race. But at least after they have finally broken down and started bringing their games to mobile platforms, at least that will chill fans long enough to focus on the NX and plot their next move. Fans have been asking for access to Nintendo's games on mobile for a long time, but Nintendo has been pretty tight-lipped about the whole ordeal. While their first mobile app didn't get great reviews, it did pull in a ton of users, so maybe they thought it was time to finally feed the hungry mobile users. I'm honestly just waiting for Super Mario Bros. to finally come to mobile. I'd play those games for hours on my smartphone if I had the chance. So at least this move is a step in the right direction.

Overall, the internet doesn’t seem to be very happy with Nintendo right now. Let’s hope they can soon turn things around.
