Sony Computer Entertainment may soon announce the next chapter in the Killzone series. A new report states that the company is currently filming a teaser trailer for the currently unnamed game.

An anonymous source tells Siliconera that the game's teaser will have the following voiceover:
My sons and my daughters, today we take the first step toward our imperial future.

For years, this once-great nation has stagnated in the shadow of its enemies. Governed by scoundrels who flaunted the ideals established by my father, these traitors… these enemies of our race have diluted and exploited the triad of Duty, Obedience, and Loyalty.

This regime, this corrupt regime, has been dissolved. In its place does rise an era of stability and strength. A time of opportunity born from a promise that we shall return our people to their proper sphere of dominance.

Siliconera's source tells them that the speaker is female and has ties to Autarch Visari, last seen in Killzone 2. They speculate that this female might be Visari’s daughter. Presumably she rises to lead the Helghast on a campaign of vengeance against the ISA.

A young female Helghast leader seems like an interesting twist. If nothing else, she'd be a change of pace than the frumpy, verbose old dudes that led the Helghast in previous games. Plus, if she is as young as expected, there's the possibility that players could face her directly in battle. That would be a lot more satisfying than Killzone 2's ending, in which Visari's death was just part of a final cutscene.

I'd also love to see a KZ game from the perspective of the Helghast Empire. They always seemed a lot more interesting than the ISA, who come off as bland good guys. We don't get enough of the Helghast's side of the story in this war. A game that put players in the shoes of a foot soldier for the Empire would reignite my interest in this series' story.

This new Killzone is said to be set after the events of KZ3. Presumably it's the Vita Killzone game in development at SCE Cambridge. However, it's also possible that this report is talking about a brand new Killzone for PS3. Guerrilla Games left the door wide open for Killzone 4 with KZ3's conclusion.
