Xbox 360 peripherals aren't compatible with the Xbox One so fighting game fans will need new Arcade Sticks for the next generation. Fortunately Mad Catz plans to release a new Fightstick just in time for the XB1's launch this fall.

The Tournament Edition 2 FightStick is said to be designed with competitive fighting game fans in mind. As Joystiq notes, the controller is highly customizable. Gamers can open up the case to swap in new buttons, LED mods and other parts. The controller can also store extra parts, a screwdriver for opening the case, and the detachable cable.

"We’re proud of our heritage in specialty controllers and believe that passionate gamers will appreciate the evolution of our FightStick design which we are introducing for the Xbox One.” said Darren Richardson, MadCatz CEO and president, in the press release. "We earlier commented how the enhanced performance of the Xbox One opens up additional scope for innovation and believe that the Tournament Edition 2 FightStick perfectly illustrates our commitment to the next generation of entertainment."

Hopefully Xbox One gamers will have a fighting game to play with this controller in the fall. The only XB1 fighting game announced so far to my knowledge is Killer Instinct, which hasn't received a release date yet.
