Namco Bandai's latest racing game in the Ridge Racer series has finally gone live. Ridge Racer Unbounded takes the series in a completely different direction, enabling gamers to cause massive amounts of mayhem and destruction as they race towards the finish line.
The game is a far cry from what the series is usually about, where players typically race to unlock cars and tracks and simply aim to come in first place. The new focus is on racing like a cutthroat pirate whose weapons happen to be four tires, a steering wheel and a few pedals.
Carlson Choi, Vice President of Marketing, Namco Bandai Games America commented in the press release about the game's recent arrival to retail store shelves. Saying...
“We are excited to have racing fans unleash their destructive prowess against friends and foes online in RIDGE RACER UNBOUNDED,” ... “With a greater focus on demolition and high octane destruction, RIDGE RACER UNBOUNDED takes the franchise to new heights in racing mayhem.”
Gamers can ram opponents through structures, burst through barriers and create enough explosions to give a 1980s action flick a serious case of the blushies. What's more is that the game offers gamers the opportunity to create their own measure of mayhem with the all new City Creator, enabling racing fans to bring their fantasy racetracks to life and share them with friends across SEN or Xbox Live.
The game is currently available at North American outlets for $59.99 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. For more info feel free to visit the Official Website.
