Few movie franchises have been milked as blatantly as SAW - since 2004, a new installment has been released every year on Halloween week. Is it any surprise that they're planning on making a tie-in video game to rake in more easy money? The first game - of a planned series, naturally - is coming next year.

According to Evil Avatar, SAW game developer Brash Entertainment has announced that the first SAW video game will be released next October to coincide with the release of SAW VI. The game will have a "unique storyline, taking place between SAW I and SAW II." It will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3.

Well, it should be interesting to see how they convert the typical action of SAW films into a game. One would imagine you'll spend a lot of time tapping A quickly to dig a key out of your rectum to unlock the door to your cage before it fills with acid. Y'know, fun stuff.
