Ubisoft has rolled out another gameplay trailer for Splinter Cell: Blacklist. As you might imagine, it shows Sam Fisher sneaking up on people and killing them. This man needs a hobby.

The trailer gives us glimpses at some of the gadgets and moves that Fisher can use in his missions. Like most trailers, though, it focuses on style over substance. It's designed to make Sam Fisher look bad-ass rather than to inform you about the game. Might be a bit meaningless, then, to a Splinter Cell vet who already knows how cool Fisher is.

If you're looking for more in-depth footage from the game, the Abandoned Mill walkthrough video from last month is a better choice. In that video, a player makes their way through the same level with three different playstyles. It shows off the diverse set of skills at Fisher's disposal that allow him to be as violent or stealthy as he wants.

Blacklist takes place after the events of Splinter Cell: Conviction. The corrupt agency Third Echelon has been shut down by the President. To replace it, she founds a new agency called Fourth Echelon with Sam Fisher at the head. The newly minted agency must work to stop a team of terrorists from accomplishing their "black list" of attacks on the United States.

Ubisoft will release Blacklist in August on the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U.
