Unity Technologies has grown substantially over the past couple of years. The technology powers a lot of indie, mobile and casual games that have become big hits. The toolset has become large enough that Unity Technologies will be hosting a developer conference this August in Amsterdam.

David Helgason, CEO of Unity Technologies shared a few comments about the conference, saying...
"For us, Unite is the most magical time of the year," ... "This is the best opportunity for the whole Unity team to interact with all of the developers that use the product we work so hard to create. We go there to learn as much as to teach: how is Unity being used, what do we need to improve, and what should we do more of."

This is actually the sixth annual Unite UDC, which originally started back in 2007 and only had 70 attendees. The latest conference that took place in San Francisco, California attracted a massive 1,300 attendees.

Helgason went on to further explain that...
"Every time we choose a location for Unite, we want to meet more of our customers," ... "Unite has been in the US and Canada for the last couple of years so we figured a glorious return to Europe was about time. We chose Amsterdam because it's a fun and well-connected city that also has a strong development community."

Unity Technologies boasts a strong suite of development tools that caters to both small and large development studios. Some of the most renowned uses of the engine resides in projects such as Zero Point's Interstellar Marines, BigPoint's BattleStar Galactica Online and Cartoon Network's Fusion Fall.

The Unite 12 UDC will take place between August 22nd and August 24th at the at DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam. For more info feel free to visit the Official Website.
