Barney's Version Trailer Makes You Question Its Genre

Paul Giamatti isn't the best looking guy in town. I think the most common term associated with his looks would have to be "schlub." But you know what? He's a lovable schlub, not to mention one of the best actors going. Some might say that it's hard to believe that both Minnie Drive and Rosamund Pike would fall for him, but perhaps he's just that good an actor to pull it off.

Yahoo! has premiered the second trailer for film (remember the first one all the way back in May?) and I can't help but have a great feeling about this movie. I absolutely love the idea of Giamatti and Dustin Hoffman as father and son and the rest of the cast is simply stellar. Based on the novel by Mordecai Richler, Giamatti plays Barney Panofsky, a man who meets the love of his life on the day of his wedding to another woman. The only thing I find strange is that the movie seems to be marketed as a comedy when everything else I've read about it says that it's a drama. Some people are going to be quite surprised sitting in a theater watching the film.
