Brittany Murphy Dead At Age 32

TMZ is reporting that actress Brittany Murphy has died as a result of full cardiac arrest suffered early this morning. She was 32.

Most first remember seeing the actress in Amy Heckerling's Clueless alongside Alicia Silverstone, playing Tai, the nervous new girl who is taken in by the popular girls. Murphy became a star in the early 2000's, known for romantic comedies such as Uptown Girls and Just Married.

Because I was a male between the ages of 13 and 18 during the peak of her career, I never watched her films in theaters, but did enjoy her work in movies geared towards a male audience like Sin City and 8 Mile, as well as her voice work on King of the Hill, which finished its run this year. More recently she fell off the map, even being parodied on SNL's Weekend Update a few weeks ago after being fired from the movie The Caller. It's always sad when a person dies at a young age, and with plenty of fans, she will be missed.
