New Captain America: The Winter Soldier Clip And Featurette Have Falcon Kicking Ass

Sam Wilson, best known as Falcon, has been a part of Captain America comic books since the mid-1960s as a friend and trusted ally of the patriotic superhero, and this made him a prime candidate to play an important role in the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Played by The Hurt Locker's Anthony Mackie, Sam makes his live-action debut in the Marvel Studios film and is portrayed as a war veteran working at the VA who is called upon by Cap when needed for a mission. But don't take my word for it. The studio has just released a brand new featurette centered on the character, which you can watch above.

In celebration of the Captain America sequel premiere last night in Los Angeles, Marvel has also released a brand new clip from the movie, with shows an amazing action sequence featuring both Cap and Falcon. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Captain America: The Winter Soldier finds its titular hero (Chris Evans) still trying to adjust in the modern world, and working as a field agent alongside Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) for S.H.I.E.L.D. When tragedy strikes, however, Cap suddenly realizes that he has no idea who he can trust - including the incredibly powerful organization he is a part of - and things are only made worse by the return of a ghost from his past. Sebastian Stan, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Emily VanCamp, Hayley Atwell, Robert Redford and Samuel L. Jackson all co-star in the film, which will be in theaters her in the U.S. on April 4th.
