Dirty Moppet Dreamer

The dirty little moppet has a movie, and along with it her melon sized mug dominating a poster. I would make some joke about her being on drugs, but then I'd have to issue an apology, and worse would risk being compared to Kathy Griffin. That's my worst nightmare.

She'll be starring opposite Kurt Russell this October in the Dreamer: Inspired By a True Story. Kurt has had something of a resurgence in recent years, with great turns in movies like Sky High. It's good to see him getting so much work, though judging from the title I'm not sure if this is a move in the right direction. Here's the official, brief synopsis: "This drama is about a father who, for the love of his daughter, sacrifices almost everything to save the life of an injured racehorse and bring the promising filly back to her former glory."

Now there's nothing wrong with a good racehorse movie, and they've made a real comeback recently. Unfortunately they've all been pretty bad. This one, much like Racing Stripes sounds basically geared for horse crazy little girls. It's not exactly The Horse Whisperer. Let's get Kurt back in spandex or put an eye patch on him. Ah well.

We've got a first look at the poster for the film below. Enjoy the looming specter of the Fanning. If only it was the girl to your right on the poster instead. She's not in the movie, but had something to with the soundtrack. I approve.
