Dive Into Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom With This Awesome Interactive Script

Despite being one of the best films to come out last year, Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom will be sadly underrepresented at this year's Academy Awards. While movies like Lincoln, Argo, Life of Pi and Silver Linings Playbook picked up spots in just about every category, Anderson's film received only one nomination: Best Original Screenplay. But Focus Features is playing with the cards they've been dealt and they've produced something awesome as a result.

To celebrate Moonrise Kingdom's nomination the studio has released an interactive version of the movie's screenplay, which was written by Anderson and Roman Coppola. In addition to featuring every single page of the script, the whole thing is peppered with stills, notes, artwork, storyboards and more. The whole thing is very cool and while I can imagine that many of you won't have the time to read the whole thing, it's great to just peruse through and enjoy. You can check out a few pages below and head over HERE to see the full thing.

Moonrise Kingdom may have only gotten one Oscar nomination, but it actually stands in a good position to win the category. The category could end up going to one of this year's powerhouses, like Zero Dark Thirty, Amour or Django Unchained (which won the Golden Globe on Sunday), but it's also possible that the Academy will want to reward Anderson's beautiful, innocent movie.

Moonrise Kingdom was released last summer and is now out on Blu-ray and DVD. For more about the movie, including a review from our very own Katey Rich, head over to our Blend Film Database.
