Fasterer And Furiouserer Trailerer

If I had to say one positive thing about a third Fast & The Furious film it would be this: they didn't call it 3. No, this time out the franchise is dropping the numbers in favor of the type of racing involved, a point confirmed with an all new cast, an all new location, and screaming fast trailer.

The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift, which refers to a an underground Japanese skidding-based style of tight turn car racing, doesn't strike me as being the most intelligent movie coming out this summer. Still, when your movie's focus is on a young American black boy hanging with oversexed Japanese girls watching an American white guy race hideously fast cars doing all sorts of crazy stunt driving then who needs good writing? The folks producing the trailer know what their movie is all about and you get a wild dose of it in the non-stop trailer.

Tokyo Drift stars Jarhead's Lucas Black and Shad Moss. Wait, Shad who? You might recognize him by his full name, Shad "Bow Wow" Gregory Moss. No longer "lil'", he's not just Bow Wow either. I'm not sure why he's choosing to use his full name at this point in his career. An actor named Bow Wow seems a perfect fit for a Fast & The Furious film.

The movie hits theaters this June, not far behind the Disney version of a racing story, Cars. You can check out the trailer at Yahoo Movies.
