Hotel Transylvania Will Hit Blu-ray In January

Whether or not you or your family caught the funny flick Hotel Transylvania, it has been at the forefront of film talk this fall. The animated tale enjoyed a lengthy theatrical run and is probably best known for crushing Sweet Home Alabama’s former box office record in September. Now, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced Hotel Transylvania will be leaving the hotel and checking into homes on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, and digital download on January 29.

The flick stars a bunch of comedic talents including Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Fran Drescher, Steve Buscemi, and Kevin James, as well as the recently dumped Selena Gomez, in a riotous adventure story about a group of monsters and creatures spending time in a lavish hotel hidden away from the human eye--or so the hotelgoers think. The flick’s a kid-favorite, but Sony has put together a list of bonus features that should intrigue both kids and adults.

Adults will probably be more interested in the progression reels or the commentary from the crew’s end, which will include Director Genndy Tartakovsky, Producer Michelle Murdocca, and Visual Effects Supervisor Daniel Kramer. The kids will get a mini-movie called “Goodnight Mr. Foot” as well as a music video from the flick. It doesn’t sound like much, but luckily, that’s not all the set will have to offer, especially if you have the capacity to spring for the Blu-ray. You can check out the full list, below.
