Though he's still way more famous for two-- soon to be three-- appearances in the Hangover franchise, Zach Galifianakis's best moments almost all come from his weirder solo stuff. His sense of humor is off-putting and often outright bizarre, but it has a way of pulling you in, especially when he's using his gifts to make a bunch of famous people very, very uncomfortable. He's done that plenty of times in his ongoing "Between Two Ferns" web series, but never so many at once as in this latest, Oscar-centered edition.

Catching a bunch of this year's acting nominees apparently right after the Nominee Luncheon, Galifianakis chatted uncomfortably with Jennifer Lawrence, Naomi Watts, Christoph Waltz, Anne Hathaway and Amy Adams-- all of whom were game for the weirdness. Check it all out below:

It's weird that Hathaway is the only one who shows up with schtick of her own, and as fun as it was to see her jump right on Galifiankis's lap, I kind of wish she'd let the expert run the show. My favorite of the bunch might be Adams, who knows exactly how to play disgust with his questions while also going along with her amazing line of dialogue at the end. How much would you pay for Galifianakis to be backstage at the Oscars doing these interviews with all the winners? How much would you pay for this to at least be a recurring Oscar season feature?
