Jennifer Lawrence Stares You Down In New Hunger Games: Mockingjay Poster

The Mockingjay has arrived! Last week, we were teased with a look at the back of Jennifer Lawrence's brave Hunger Games character, armed with her trusted bow and arrows, and looking ready for a revolution. Along with that teaser poster was the promise of something more to come on September 10. Today's the day and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 delivered with the poster above, which gives us a look at Katniss Everdeen from the front. She really does look ready for a fight. Check out the look of determination on her face.

Courtesy of the Hunger Games Facebook page, the new poster appears to be a fiery spin on the previously released character photos, which showed off some of Katniss' allies, set in front of the Mockingjay symbol. Here's one of them, which shows Natalie Dormer as Cressida...

Cressida

The difference between Katniss's poster and the character art is pretty evident. Katniss is the Girl on Fire, so naturally, her Mockingjay would be all lit up in flames. It's an encouraging sight, especially by contrast to the teaser trailer that shows Katniss once again being called to fight. Her response seemed a bit less certain there, but looking at the new poster, it looks like she has more fight in her after all.

Jennifer Lawrence made headlines recently for earning a spot in the upcoming edition of The Guinness Book of World Records for being the highest-grossing action movie heroine. It's an impressive feat, and one more accomplishment she can add to her impressive career, which also includes an Oscar Award and two Golden Globes, for the work she manages to squeeze in when she's not playing the girl on fire.

Lionsgate has the feature adaptation of Suzanne Collins Mockingjay split up into two movies, the first of which will release November 21, 2014. In addition to Jennifer Lawrence, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay cast includes Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Julianne Moore, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Sam Clafin, Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland.

If you haven't already watched it over and over, check out the teaser trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 after the jump!
