It's been reported that next Thursday we will get a new trailer for John Carter, the first live-action film produced by Pixar Studios and directed by Andrew Stanton. It''s been a long wait since we last saw footage from the movie, with the first and only teaser trailer premiering in July, but with the film scheduled to hit theaters in March the marketing should pick up very quickly. Just last week we saw a brand new still from the movie premiere online, but now six more have arrived to whet your appetite.

Check out three of the new images below and head over to SFX to see the other three.

This past summer at D23, the Disney version of Comic Con, I had the chance to see four clips from the upcoming sci-fi epic and while it looks really cool, I'm curious how the whole thing will come together. My biggest concern is Taylor Kitsch, who doesn't seem to have much charisma, something incredibly important when you're talking about the lead in an action/adventure epic. The first teaser was brilliant, though, so hopefully the one that premieres next week will increase my confidence.

Based on the classic series by Edgar Rice Burroughs, John Carter is about a Civil War veteran who is transported to Mars. Though he is constantly on the search for a way home, he learns of a princess in danger and must decide if he will save her or continue his quest to return to Earth. Other than Kitsch, who plays the eponymous hero, the movie stars Lynn Collins, Samantha Morton, Mark Strong, Ciaran Hinds, Dominic West, James Purefoy, Daryl Sabara, Polly Walker, Bryan Cranston, Thomas Hayden Church, and Willem Dafoe.
