Rent Paid In Full

We may be a few days late on reporting these, but that’s what keeps us interesting. How unique would CinemaBlend be if we actually broke news or offered things before you’ve already seen them?

We like to keep it real. That’s why we are showing you the already-broadcasted brand new trailer for the movie Rent, courtesy of Moviefone. Unlike the teaser, this one actually has dialogue.

The problem is that it’s cheesy-as-hell dialogue. And Jesse L. Martin dancing on the subway car isn’t helping. From seeing the trailer you would think this movie is about a bunch of high bohemians living it up, instead of struggling with disease and poverty. Where has the essence of the show gone? It's a blend of tragedy and finding salvation, but all I'm seeing so far is a wild party that I wasn't invited to. My hopes for the movie adaptation of the fantastic play are starting to wane, but I am clinging onto what’s left for as long as I can.

You can see the trailer for yourself here. Also check out the individual character posters for the movie below, provided by CHUD.

The movie hits theaters November 11th.
