Stone's Bi Boy Approved

Last week we brought you the rumor from MSNBC that the real reason for the delay of Oliver Stone’s Alexander was that Warner Brother’s feared the bi-sexuality of the titular historical figure. Well now Warner Brother’s is jumping up and down claiming that’s not so. Let’s just go to their official response:

"Any speculation that the Studio is trying to cut scenes from "Alexander" based on their depiction of the sexual relationships of the lead character is false and does not accurately represent the content of the film, which portrays Alexander the Great as heroic, and a man of his time and culture." - Michigan J. Frog

Either that’s true or the WB is simply covering their tracks to avoid protests from gay rights advocates we may never know. But the result is a good one whatever the case, and Oliver will apparently be releasing his film just the way he wants it, with lots of man on man action. At least I hope so. You know if you really read that statement it sounds a little ambiguous. What exactly does “a man of his time and culture” mean? Why not just say as he really was? Maybe I’m just paranoid, watched too many Oliver Stone movies.
