Just yesterday Disney unfurled a treasure trove of stills from their much anticipated movie musical Into The Woods, but today they've given up a first look of its fairy tale figures in action in the form of a teaser trailer. The full clip is above. Get ready to get your theater-geek capes on!

For those unfamiliar with the Broadway musical from James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim, this Into The Woods trailer breaks down its most basic premise:
"To lift a witch's curse they would need the cow as white as milk, the cape as red as blood, the hair as yellow as corn, the slipper as pure as gold…"

We're given glimpses of these McGuffins, teasing the inclusion of such classic fairy tale characters as Jack of "Jack and the Beanstalk" fame with his cow that he'd trade for fateful magic beans, Little Red Riding Hood and her namesake cape, Rapunzel in her tall tower, and the abandoned slipper of poor Cinderella.

Check out the full trailer to see Lilla Crawford as Red Riding Hood, Daniel Huttlestone as Jack, Mackenzie Mauzy as Rapunzel, Anna Kendrick as Cinderella, Chris Pine as her prince, James Corden and Emily Blunt as the Baker and his wife, and of course Meryl Streep as the Witch! You'll get a glimpse of Johnny Depp's so-far elusive Wolf. Plus, it teases one of the musical's most loved songs. Now THAT's a trailer!

Hear the song "I Wish" as it was performed in the Broadway version of Into The Woods:

Into The Woods opens Christmas Day.
