While it's still not exactly clear how James McAvoy's Professor X is walking around in the previews for X-Men: Days of Future Past, at the very least we now get to see why Nicholas Hoult's Beast is walking around looking normal instead of blue and fuzzy like in the end of X-Men: First Class. This new TV spot for the upcoming comic book movie reveals that the hero will be going through at least one more transformation scene in the franchise, only this time he will be on the battlefield instead of in a lab.

Interestingly enough, this spot also gives us our first look at the new Toad in action. We haven't seen the character on the big screen since Halle Berry's Storm blasted him with lightning towards the end of 2000's X-Men, but here he is back, younger, and being played by Evan Jonigkeit. Putting together from previous trailers and footage, my guess is that Toad has already joined up with Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants in 1973 and that he is working alongside Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and a gone-bad Havok (Lucas Till) on a mission somehow involving the military - and possibly in Vietnam.

The film is the first movie in the franchise since X2 to be directed by Bryan Singer and brings together the casts of both the original trilogy and the aforementioned X-Men: First Class. The story begins in a horrific future where the X-Men and all of mutant kind have been forced underground by giant technologically-advanced robots called Sentinels that are programmed to hunt them down. In order to try and prevent this future from ever coming to pass, the team makes a plan to send Wolverine's consciousness back in time to 1973 where he can hopefully stop an event that winds up changing the world forever. The excellent ensemble cast includes Hugh Jackman, Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Daniel Cudmore, Adan Canto, Omar Sy, Booboo Stewart, Fan Bing Bing, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage, Evan Peters, and Josh Helman in addition to all of the names mentioned above. Basically, you can expect it to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the summer.

The wait for the film is almost over, as in just a little over a month X-Men: Days of Future Past will be hitting theaters here in the United States (on May 23rd to be exact). Are you excited? Do you still want to see more footage or have you had your fill?
