Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs takes the rather short children’s book of the same name and attempts to turn it into a full-fledged animated movie. It seemed to work well-enough for Horton Hears a Who, and the idea of dropping giant pancakes on city hall is on a most basic level even more appealing than an elephant who talks to specs.
The real highlight of the film’s first full trailer though, isn’t a mountain-sized ear of corn rolling across the Great Wall of China. Instead it’s Mr. T voicing a cop named Earl Deveraux who steals scenes with his son Cal.
