Warner Bros' Rock of Ages, the rock musical inspired by the hit Broadway production, has been drawing plenty of attention for its star-stuffed cast that boasts Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Malin Akerman, Mary J. Blige, Alec Baldwin and Tom Cruise, as well as its incredible soundtrack stacked with classic rock anthems by icons like Def Leppard, Journey, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, and Poison. From the looks of its trailer, Rock of Ages will be a raucous crowd-pleaser that will inspire head-bobbing if not full-on headbanging in theaters across America.

With little more than a week to go before this rowdy rock musical struts onto the world stage, choreographer turned film director Adam Shankman (Hairspray) is taking a new tactic to tease out more interest, revealing some of the incredible work composer Adam Anders, three-time Emmy-winning choreographer Mia Michaels, and small army of musicians, singers and dancers and have put in to make Rock of Ages the flashiest spectacle of the summer.

As an unapologetic fan of So You Think You Can Dance, I am most excited to see what Mia Michaels has in store for the film's many dance numbers. Prior to this vid, I had no idea she was involved. Her choreography is what first made me stop on the summer series during some lackadaisical channel surfing, and remains a major reason I tune in week after week, season after season. Michaels has an uncanny ability to convey breathtaking emotion through elegant but odd physicality, and it's sure to bring an electric element to Rock of Ages, which is shockingly her first film effort.

Rock of Ages hits theaters June 15th.
