Subscribe To Hero Blend #44: Giving Thanks For A Year Of Comic Book Movies Updates
Today is the day that we celebrate Thanksgiving – the one day a year specifically put aside to look back on the previous few months and give thanks for everything in our lives that makes us happy. For fans of comic book movies, there is plenty to be thankful for.

The genre has certainly been growing steadily over the last few years, but we very well may look back on 2014 as the year that superhero properties truly took over Hollywood. We’ve not only seen some truly fantastic movies – including Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy and X-Men: Days of Future Past - but huge steps were also made securing the comic book industry’s place in the film and television worlds for the next six years. Both the Marvel and DC Cinematic Universes are growing, there are some big plans for Spider-Man, and the future of the X-Men looks surprisingly bright.

To celebrate this year’s Thanksgiving, I have recorded a special episode of Hero Blend this week, thanking some key people for all of the great work that they have done moving the comic book genre forward in 2014. There’s obviously a lot of ground to cover, so hit the play button above!
