Subscribe To Kim Kardashian's Family Members Are Already Volunteering To Be Surrogates Updates
This year, Kim Kardashian revealed she wants to add more children to her growing family with Kanye West. The 36-year-old reality television personality informed her family she cannot carry more children, but she might be interested in recruiting a surrogate to carry another child. Now Kim Kardashian may have some surrogacy options close to home. Both Kris Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian have expressed they might be willing to help as a surrogate. Here is how the conversation happened.
On the latest episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kris Jenner received unusual information about a rich family interested in buying her eggs. The 61-year-old matriarch of the famous family visited a specialist, who told Jenner her eggs are no longer viable. (Shocker.) However, the doctor also said Jenner might still be able to carry a child. (Shocker!) Jenner mentioned the subject to Kim Kardashian, who had previously told her about considering surrogacy as an option for her family, so Kardashian asked her mom if she wanted to carry her child. Jenner sounded uncertain about her ability to help but said,
Kourtney Kardashian was there during Kris Jenner's announcement, and she was not going to be forgotten. The 38-year-old big sister to Kim Kardashian lightheartedly chimed in, saying,
From the sounds of it, Kim Kardashian could be on an active search for a surrogate after two difficult pregnancies. When Kardashian carried her daughter, North West, she developed early-onset preeclampsia. Kardashian's body and face swelled, and she had to deliver at 34 weeks. Afterward, doctors found Kardashian had placenta accreta, a life-threatening condition in which the placenta attaches too deeply to the muscular wall of the uterus. She explained the doctor detached the placenta by hand, scraping it off her uterus with his fingernails. (Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!) Similar issues arose during Kardashian's pregnancy with her son, Saint West. This year, she had a medical procedure to repair her uterus. Afterward, the doctor revealed complications including a problem with Kardashian's bladder. After the traumatic experience, the reality television star said she was resigned to the idea of not carrying a child but possibly recruiting a surrogate instead.
So, if Kim Kardashian and Kanye West find help from a surrogate outside the family, they will join a growing list of other celebrities--such as Katey Sagal, Jimmy Fallon, Lucy Liu, and Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick--who have turned to surrogacy services to grow their families. On the other hand, if Kourtney Kardashian, not to mention Kris Jenner, were to become Kim Kardashian's surrogate, the world of entertainment news might explode. We will keep you posted if the report develops.
