Delicious Giveaway: Charles Ramsey Offered Free Burgers For Life

Charles Ramsey’s heroic decision to stop eating and investigate screams coming from a neighbor’s house led to the rescue of four women. Later, it led to an incredible amount of publicity and his own song. Now, it may have led to an even better perk.

According to The Cleveland Plain Dealer, twelve local Ohio restaurants have all partnered together to offer Ramsey free burgers for life. A special card will be minted for the Cleveland area hero, and whenever he goes into any of the establishments, he’ll be given the cheesy goodness for free. Some places have even reportedly decided to offer him some free fries too.

Ramsey works as a dishwasher at Hodges Restaurant. Following the brouhaha related to the rescue, the chef at said restaurant decided to create a special burger for Ramsey that’s a play off of a Big Mac, since Ramsey was eating McDonald’s when he left his home to head next door. The creation was a big hit and got several local business owners talking to each other about the possibility of rewarding Charles in some way. Eventually, the idea of free burgers was pitched, and something tells me the rescuer is pretty damn happy with the result.

Most of us will never end up on the national news, and we’ll never get free burgers for displaying heroism. Life, however, has a funny way of surprising you. That’s why it’s always best to wake up each day, be the best person you can and let the chips fall where they may. After all, you never know when one of your decisions could save the lives of four women.
