Earlier this week, a reporter for the New York Post and a photographer approached Alec Baldwin while he was walking his dogs and asked him for his take on the recent lawsuit filed against his wife. Not surprisingly, the former 30 Rock actor wasn’t so pleased about the question and told the reporter, Tara Palmeri, that he hoped she would choke to death in the near future. Everyone involved agrees the above story happened, but as for what came after, that’s a fiercely debated topic that now involves the police.
According to TMZ, the photographer, G.N. Miller, told police Baldwin called him a “coon”, a “crackhead” and a “drugdealer”. He filed a police report not long after the incident, but not surprisingly, the actor has a very different take on what happened. He filed his own police report, denied using any racially charged language and accused the reporter and photographer of harassing him.
Baldwin has had his share of run-ins with the paparazzi over the past decade. From verbally berating them to throwing punches, most people would agree he’s not exactly the most even-tempered or understanding when it comes to dealing with such people. That being said, Baldwin is also a well-known advocate of equal rights and his charity even recently donated $50,000 to the Arthur Ashe Foundation. He doesn’t exactly come across as a racist by any measure.
What do you think? Did Alec actually call the photographer these racist names in the heat of the moment because of his anger about his wife's lawsuit, or do you think this story is a whole bunch of hogwash? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
