In the past, Justin Bartha has been tied to plenty of famous names, including Ashley Olsen and, as rumor briefly had it, Scarlett Johanssen. Now, it seems The New Normal actor has found the leading lady that has earned his heart. Barth is engaged to fitness instructor Lia Smith, whom he has been dating for some time.
The two met under the most unremarkable of circumstances. Smith works at Equinox Gym in Los Angeles. Bartha showed up for a pilates session and it was buns, err love, at first sight. US Weekly reported the news of this week’s engagement, which is fitting, since the magazine also outed the two as a couple just after the New Year, when they were vacationing in Maui, Hawaii and photographers snapped photos of the two together on the beach.
Bartha took care of the proposal earlier this month, planning a vacation to Big Sur (they are certainly fond of vacations), where the 34-year-old actor popped the question at the Post Ranch Inn. If you’ve ever seen the area or the resort, you’ll know that it was a perfectly romantic place to pop the question. It’s nice that the lovely couple got to take a bit of a vacation together. With a wedding to plan, things won’t be nearly as relaxing over the next few months for The Hangover actor and his new fiancée. Pop Blend would like to wish the happy couple the very best as they move forward with all of the planning.
