Motley Crue And KISS Hitting The Road Together

Three decades after Motley Crue first opened for KISS, the two bands have decided to share the stage again. In a grandiose, double-billed trek the guys are calling simply “The Tour”, the groups will crisscross the country starting in Bristow, Virginia on July 20th and ending in Hartford, Connecticut on September 23rd. To celebrate and publicize the big news, band members held a joint press conference in which they let fans know exactly what to expect.

Each gig will feature a ninety minute set from Motley Crue followed by a ninety minute set from KISS. Gene Simmons said fans should expect to be “drenched, exhausted and completely satisfied” at the close of each concert, while Tommy Lee said he expects the dates will be a great chance for people who always wanted to see the two bands to experience both in one night.

According to MSNBC, members of both bands also touched on their mutual admiration for the other’s work. In theory, Motley Crue and KISS should appeal to the same general fanbase while bringing something different to the table, offering a well-balanced and interesting show.
