Suge Knight: Katt Williams Isn't Crazy, He Just Hates Taking Crap

Given Katt Williams’ recent string of absurd arrests, many people have jumped to the conclusion that the comedian is crazy. Not so, at least according to his legendary tour manager Suge Knight. The mogul reached out to defend his friend this week, saying he’s just a brilliant performer with a really short fuse that gets hassled a lot by members of the general public when he goes out.

Equating his recent downfall to those of Mike Tyson and Richard Pryor, Knight told TMZ everything that happened lately was the result of fans getting on Katt either because of his height or because they think he can take it based on his on-stage persona.

”When people see him, they don't separate the Katt Williams on stage from the Katt Williams just being a regular person."

There’s no doubt in my mind that Katt Williams deals with more shit when he goes out than most people, but at the end of the day, we’re all still responsible for our own behavior. With recent run-ins with the law for throwing a lit cigarette at a woman’s eye, threatening a man with a pool cue and allegedly leading police on a high speed chase over sidewalks in a three wheeled motorcycle, the beloved funnyman could well wind up in jail. That’s a far worse fate than eating a few insults.

We’ll keep you updated on Williams’ legal matters as they progress forward. For his sake, I hope his buddy Suge is right because it’s far easier to change poor decision making patterns than to amend fundamentally crazy.
