Watch How This Russian Dude Fixed His Broken Windshield Wipers

There’s a certain pace and flavor to life in Russia that makes the country a true original. Some of the greatest novelists in history have done well capturing these rhythms of the ordinary citizens, and the right YouTube video can do just the same.

Taken by two hearty and loveable Russian friends who probably should have their own common sense science/ fix it show, the footage features one of the most brilliant life hacks I’ve ever seen. Saddled with a car that doesn’t have workable windshield wipers in the pouring rain, the men devise a system to run wire through the wipers and loop them together so as to allow a human being to manually power them from inside the car. The scheme works like an absolute charm, and not surprisingly, the dudes laugh up a storm (pun intended) as they’re thundering down the highway, rain be damned.

I’m sure these two guys weren’ the first people to come up with a system like this to move windshield wipers, but I am pretty sure no one has ever had a better time doing it. That being said, if this chubby Russian guy in a speedo ever has the same problem, he might give them a run for their money.
