Watch Lil Wayne Claim He Doesn't Remember Basic Facts About His Life

Footage from a recent deposition Lil Wayne gave as part of his ongoing legal skirmish with Quincy Jones III leaked earlier today. The musician was interviewed by Jones’ lawyer to explain why he objected to his music being used in a documentary about the making of his album, but very few topics of relevance wound up being discussed. In fact, what did happen was quite possibly the most absurd exchange anyone has had with a lawyer since Marisa Tomei screamed at Joe Pesci in My Cousin Vinny. From boredom to anger to flat out disdain, the rap star makes no attempt at hiding his emotions, and at one point, even tells high profile litigator Pete Ross that the judge can’t save him in the real world.

Portions of the tape have been popping up all day on TMZ, and numerous highlight reels have been placed on YouTube. At some point, the entire deposition may make its way online, but for the time being, you can check out some of the clips edited together below…

It’s crazy to watch Lil Wayne claim to not remember basic facts like whether his record was the highest selling LP of 2008 and if he was arrested following certain concerts. Most of us grew up with a desire to be as honest and proper in a courtroom as possible, but the twenty-nine-year-old clearly despises the entire process.

Reaction to the footage has been decidedly mixed. Some find Lil Wayne’s behavior to be disrespectful and foolish, while others think it’s hysterical and warranted given some of the strange questions asked. I, on the other hand, find it bizarre considering he’s actually the one who instigated the lawsuit.

We’ll keep you updated as the case winds its way through the court system.
