Watch: Tom Hanks Drops By The Colbert Report For A Funny Halloween Segment

Tom Hanks is everywhere lately, and we're all benefiting from it. Whether he's accidentally (and humorously) dropping an F-bomb on Good Morning America or stopping by Saturday Night Live for a surprise cameo or two, the world is a better place with each bit of Hanks. The actor stopped by The Colbert Report, not just to plug his new movie Cloud Atlas, but to plug his entire catalog of fantastic films. Because that's just how Hanks does it.

He's not here to talk about himself, his movies or his legacy as a living legend. He's here for the kids and some affordable Halloween costume fun! Or he brought kids to Colbert's Comedy Central show to remind us all of how awesome he is. The segment from The Colbert Report runs almost ten minutes, but it's hilarious and well worth a look. And be sure to watch it to the end, because there's a very special treat among these trick or treaters!

"Who wants a DVD?" - Hanks

"Larry Crowne! Larry Crowne!" the kids chant.

The whole sketch was working really well as kids showed up to express their enthusiasm for all things Hanx, but the icing on the cake was when Hanks' Saving Private Ryan co-star Matt Damon shows up (in uniform!), yells at Hanks for luring him there under the pretense of charity, throws a dig at Ben Affleck in ("I could be drunk, now, in a movie theater, heckling Argo!"), steals all the candy and leaves. Hanks tops it all off by reminding us to go see Cloud Atlas.

More information and our review of Cloud Atlas can be found here.
