Animation from the '90s is coming back in a big way and Nickelodeon is hard at work reviving some of its classic cartoon series. Rocko's Modern Life recently premiered all new footage and now the return of Hey Arnold! has followed suit. If you're a '90s kid, get ready to feel a lot of unexpected emotions. If you're not, then just enjoy the ride! Feast your eyes on the first trailer for Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie.

Premiering out of San Diego Comic-Con, Nickelodeon has uploaded the first sneak peek of the return of Hey Arnold! to the internet. The trailer plays out like a walk down memory lane, as it reintroduces viewers to familiar characters and reminds us all what an awesome dude Arnold is. The footage opens with Arnold being surprised by literally everyone he knows, from his friends to old returning favorites (Stoop Kid! Dino Spumoni! That pigeon guy!). Arnold's friends play a movie they've made about Arnold and all the people he's helped, using notable moments from classic episodes (with updated animation) to play up the nostalgia factor of the upcoming TV movie. It feels like the series hasn't missed a beat after all these years and old fans will likely be pleased by what they see.

The purpose of the kid's somewhat choppily assembled movie is to get Arnold sent to San Lorenzo, which is were the TV movie will likely take place. Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie will serve as a two hour TV movie and a true series finale for the beloved cartoon, wrapping up all the loose plot threads from when the show went off the air over a decade ago. The original series ended with Arnold discovering a secret map to a jungle where he believes his parents have gone missing. The Jungle Movie will feature Arnold and his friends journeying to said jungle and likely finding out why Arnold's parents disappeared.

For those who may have never watched the show, Hey Arnold! was a late '90s cartoon on Nickelodeon that followed the adventures of Arnold, a kid with a football-shaped head and a heart of gold. Arnold mostly spent his time helping various friends and oddballs with their problems while navigating life in New York City. It was a series full of heart, humor, and fun, which has helped the show come back to finally finish its story.

Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie is currently projected to air on Nickelodeon in November of 2017.
