Will ABC Adopt King Of The Hill?

Fox might be done with King of the Hill but the series may still have a chance at survival if another network were interested in picking it up. It seems there’s a chance that might be happening. Word around the internet is that ABC has expressed an interest in the series.

According to Variety ABC “is believed” to be interested in picking up the series. The article states, “ABC is believed to be that suitor, as King would make a strong companion to the net's upcoming animated comedy The Goode Family. Even more fitting, Goodecomes from King of the Hill exec producers Mike Judge, John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky.”

It’d definitely make sense that ABC might want to couple their new animated series with a well-established one. Plus it’s not as though the network is above picking up another network’s cast-offs. After NBC decided to drop Scrubs, ABC moved in and swooped it up. So while the odds are against Fox changing their mind about keeping King around, if you’re a fan of the series, there’s definitely still hope that the show might find a new home.
