One of the things I love about Simon Cowell’s creation, America’s Got Talent is that the competitive series doesn’t just showcase singers. Unlike American Idol, which has pretty much perfected the singing talent competition series, Talent broadens the spectrum by allowing just about anyone of any age, with almost any kind of talent (within the bounds of good taste or at the very least, primetime network TV standards) to audition for the show. Speaking of auditions, the nationwide search for talent has begun!
The Atlanta, GA auditions were last weekend but if you’re looking to try out for the show and you’re in the Dallas or Chicago area, here’s the information for the upcoming try-outs:
Dallas March 2/3
1717 N. Akard Street
Dallas, TX 75201
Chicago March 16/17
600 E. Grand Ave
Chicago, IL 60611
From what I’ve heard, there will also be auditions in New York and Los Angeles but the information on those hasn’t been posted yet. So keep an eye out for information on NBC’s website because if there are auditions in those cities, they’ll probably be posted soon. There is also information on how to submit a video audition for the show on the site.
America’s Got Talent airs during the summer on NBC.
