Breaking Bad Season 4 Preview: Crawl Space

We’re getting down to the last few episodes of Breaking Bad’s fourth season. There are just three more to go, by my count and we have a video from this Sunday night’e episode for you to check out. Spoilers ahead - Let’s talk about Skyler!

Skyler has been working hard to keep things looking on the level at the White house, but all of that may fall apart, due in large part to her decision to get involved with crooked Ted. If the IRS launches an investigation on her old boss, they will also be looking at her. With the piles of cash her husband is earning cooking meth, attention from a government agency would be a bad thing.

The scene featuring Skyler and her old boss as she tried to politely convince him to use the money she anonymously gifted him to pay back the IRS had me screaming at my TV, “Stop being an idiot, Ted! Pay what you owe!” I suspect something along those lines was going through Skyler’s mind as he attempt to brush her off, and I’m impressed she didn’t lose it during that conversation. Of course, it did result in her admitting that she’s the one who gave him the money. The video clip below appears to reveal Ted’s final decision...

So, assuming that message is Ted’s way to tell Skyler he’s going to spend more than half a million dollars of her money on restarting his business, letting the IRS begin their full investigation on him (and Skyler in the process), what is Skyler to do? At some point, she’s going to have to let Walter in on this, and if he gets involved, I suspect Ted really will be sorry. If he is, he has it coming. She’s giving him a get-out-of-jail-free card and he’s using it to do what he wants, throwing her under the bus in the process.

Breaking Bad airs Sundays at 10:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
