Burgess Jenkins And Joshua Henry To Recur On Army Wives

One of Lifetime’s original series, Army Wives, is getting a facelift in its upcoming season. Season 7 is set to air sometime in 2013, with one of its titular characters leaving the show and another bumping down to recurring. Because of this, Army Wives has added a slew of new female characters to its cast. However, the show isn't stopping with new women and has hired actors Burgess Jenkins and Joshua Henry, as well.

I always think about Army Wives in terms of the women, but hiring on Army husbands totally makes sense, as the husbands, despite often being absent for months at a time on deployment, are the backbones that bring the women in the show together. According to Deadline, Jenkins and Henry might not be as absent as you would think. The two men are set for recurring roles during the show’s upcoming seventh season, but if the show should move forward into Season 8, both men have smartly written options into their contracts to become series regulars should Army Wives continue to have a place on Lifetime.

Recently, the series added three new women to its cast, including Ashanti, Torrey DeVitto, and Elle McLemore. Jenkins and Henry have signed on to play the husbands of two of the new women, with Henry playing Ashanti’s husband, Quincy. Jenkins (who is probably best known for a role in Remember the Titans) has signed on as DeVitto’s TV husband, Staff Sergeant Eddie Hall. We’ll keep you posted when the series gets an official date to return to Lifetime’s schedule for Season 7.
