Do You Love Legend Of The Seeker?

Maybe they should have saved this particular promotion for February. Regardless, I think the latest Legend of the Seeker contest may be one of the goofier ones I've ever seen for any show. "Seekers of Love" begins with Zedd revealing that a spell he'd concocted to battle the forces of the underworld has gone awry and become a love spell, ensorcelling Kahlan, Cara, Richard and -- somehow -- Darken Rahl.

Now we, as in you and I sitting at home reading this article, have to go to the website and submit videos of ourselves attempting to court the four of them in order to free them from Zedd's spell. The actors who portray all five characters are actually involved with this promotion, filming video introductions, and responses to your uploads.

Almost more entertaining is seeing the submissions of other lonelyhearts out there, vying for the attention of a Mord'Sith, or a dead emissary for the Keeper. Kahlan's introduction was even more sinister as she basically said she would confess you to find out if you were worthy.

You do have the chance to win some nice prints of the characters, autographed by the actors who play them, so it's not just the opportunity to embarrass yourself on the world wide web by showcasing a video of yourself trying to seduce a fictional character.

I'm more upset that poor Zedd wasn't allowed to be a participant. Why wouldn't anyone want to court the Wizard of the First Order. Make Darken Rahl the man behind the spell, or the evil witch Shota. Is this age discrimination?
