Game Of Thrones Wishes You A Happy Father's Day With Some Harsh Words From Dad

Game of Thrones has been known to feature some really tough dads. So it's fitting that the premium cable channel would release a video, celebrating the approaching Father's Day, which just so happens to coincide with the Season 4 finale of the beloved fantasy drama series. Go ahead and bask in the glow of these memorable father moments, featuring harsh words from dear old Dad!

Among the fathers featured in Game of Thrones' "Happy Father's Day" tribute video, we have... Craster, who admits he has more daughters than he can count...

And then there's Robert Baratheon, seen shaming Joffrey for being disarmed by a little girl.

Not to be left out, there's Balon Greyjoy, who doesn't want his son dressed as a whore.

Finally, last but by no means least, Tywin Lanister, who actually sentenced his own son to death.

What a jerk!

But they aren't all bad dads on Game of Thrones, despite what the video suggests. We can laugh at just how harsh some of these dads are, but let's never forget the great Eddard Stark, who led by example and not only cared for his legitimate children, but took in a child that he fathered out of wedlock and raised him properly.

Ned Stark

Rest in peace, Ned Stark! Gone but not forgotten.

Happy father's day, Game of Thrones fans! And don't forget to tune in this Sunday night for the Game of Thrones Season 4 finale, which airs at 9:00 p.m. ET on HBO. Assistant Managing Editor

Kelly put her life-long love of movies, TV and books to greater use when she joined CinemaBlend as a freelance TV news writer in 2006, and went on to serve as the site’s TV Editor before joining the staff full-time in 2011 and moving over to other roles at the site. At present, she’s an Assistant Managing Editor who spends much of her time brainstorming and editing features, analyzing site data, working with writers and editors on content planning and the workflow, and (of course) continuing to obsess over the best movies and TV shows (those that already exist, and the many on the way). She graduated from SUNY Cortland with BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Cinema Studies. When she isn't working, she's probably thinking about work, or reading (or listening to a book), and making sure her cats are living their absolute best feline lives.
