The Good Wife's Anika Noni Rose And Dallas Roberts To Reprise Roles

CBS The Good Wife is both a critically acclaimed drama and an ensemble drama, with plenty of opportunities for guest stars. For these reasons, The Good Wife has been able to attract a slew of highly qualified guest stars for its fourth season. If you thought the cast list this year was full to bursting, you’re probably right, but The Good Wife has apparently found some room for Anika Noni Rose and Dallas Roberts to return to the show.

Both actors have appeared in The Good Wife in the past, and will be reprising their former roles in Season 4. Roberts will show up as Alicia’s brother, again, and will actually be appearing in an episode with another famous guest star face: that of Alicia’s mother, who will be played by Stockard Channing. According to TV Guide, the family dynamics have worked so well that executive producers Robert and Michelle King would like to get them on board for several episodes this season, although they are currently signed on for just the one.

Anika Noni Rose, on the other hand, will likely not be welcomed back into the fold with open arms. After all, her character, Wendy Scott-Carr, is a tough lady who made an enemy out of Alicia last season when she attempted to personal attack her. She also doesn’t have the best of relationships with Will—whom she suspended--or Cary—whom she has competed with in the past. Rose is also currently set for one episode, but could show up for two or three.

Personally, Scott-Carr has always been a bit of a boring sort-of antagonist on the show, but I’m super stoked to see how Alicia’s family plays out onscreen.

You can catch these characters and more when The Good Wife airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
