It’s one day after Thanksgiving, which means we can start thinking about the Christmas holiday, which includes trees, presents, baked goods, and playing holiday music. NBC’s The Voice judge Cee Lo Green has his own holiday-themed album out this year. That release wouldn’t have been possible without some help from some of The Muppets crew, and now the two will re-team up for a special episode of The Voice.
Next week, Cee Lo Green will be stepping away from the red chair he usually occupies and will be heading onstage to perform for the crowd. He’ll take the stage on Tuesday, November 27 for a special duet with Kermit the Frog. They won’t just be singing any song, however. The two will be tackling the famous Muppets song, “Bein’ Green,” which features the famous line,"It's not easy being green.”
I’ve seen Green perform before, and it’s usually pretty wild. Since he’s also performing with Kermit the Frog, it may even give me a reason to tune in to The Voice, which is not generally my singing competition of choice. Additionally, NBC is stating Green and Kermit will be joined onstage by some other Muppets favorites, including Fozzie Bear, Statler and Waldorf, Janice, and Gonzo. Finally, the show is going all out, even introducing a brand new Muppet, who looks like the pop star and judge, named “Lo-Co.” It’s nice to see the reality series doesn’t discriminate against felt.
The special episode of The Voice airs on Tuesday, November 27 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
Amazing Race & Top Chef superfan with a pinch of Disney fairy dust thrown in. If you’ve created a rom-com I’ve probably watched it.
