Last Comic To Have Another Laugh

I’ve really been happy with this season of ‘Last Comic Standing.’ The contestants seem to be much funnier, as a whole, and the show really seems to have regained some of the sparkle that made season’s one and two so memorable. With the season finale about five weeks away, there was some speculation as to whether it would be renewed, but NBC has finally settled that debate.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ‘LCS’ has been officially renewed for its six season next summer. It’s unclear whether the comedy talent scouts (Ant, Kathleen Madigan, and Alonzo Bodden) will return, but host Bill Bellamy will definitely be back for his second run as the M.C. It’s really a testament to the reality laugher that, after getting prematurely cancelled during season three, it has refound its audience.

‘Last Comic Standing’ airs on Wednesday nights, and there are currently eight comedians left. By my calculations, at least four have a very good chance at winning, although Lavell Crawford has really moved to the comedic forefront. Check back with TV Blend next week when we’ll be bringing you an exclusive interview with season one and season three contestant Sean Kent.
