While the U.K. has already seen Ricky Gervais’ latest series Life’s Too Short, those of us on this side of the pond have had to wait and we’ll be waiting even longer. The series is set to make its stateside debut next year and it appears HBO has officially set the date.

Life’s Too Short is a faux-reality TV show that follows Warwick Davis as he attempts to get his career back on track. I suppose with the completion of the Harry Potter films, that put him out of two jobs. Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant also appear in Life’s Too Short, and like Davis, they’re also playing fictional versions of themselves. The show features celebrity appearances, including Johnny Depp, Sting, Steve Carell and Liam Neeson.

The series premiered in the U.K. earlier this month and according to Digital Spy, HBO will premiere it here on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 10:30 p.m. The series will share the hour with returning series Eastbound & Down. The comedy, which stars Danny McBride as a former pro ball player who returns to his hometown, will premiere its third and final season at 10:00 p.m. that night.
