Lost's Jorge Garcia To Guest Star On Once Upon A Time In Season 2

Is it fair to say that Hurley was the most beloved character on Lost? At the very least, it's hard to imagine anyone disliking the friendly numbers-plagued guy. His portrayal of Hugo "Hurley" Reyes in the ABC drama may be why I associate actor Jorge Garcia with likable characters. But it sounds like there's a chance the role he's set to play on Once Upon a Time might not be so friendly.

TVLine shared the news that Garcia will guest star in an episode of Once Upon a Time in the ABC fantasy-drama series' upcoming second season. He's booked to play the part of a giant, though the site doesn't elaborate further on how he fits into the story. Jack and the Beanstalk seems like the most obvious tie-in, but who knows? If that's the case and Garcia's busy practicing his "Fee-fi-fo-fum," he may be a villain of some sort. Then again, Once Upon a Time's known for taking some creative liberties with its characters, elaborating on their origin stories in interesting ways.

While likely best known for his role in Lost, Garcia's more recent credits include a starring role on Fox's short-lived series Alcatraz. While I hope to see him land a lead in a show that sticks, it'll be good to see him doing this guest appearance. He joins Colin O'Donoghue among the new bits of casting for Once Upon a Time, which returns for its second season on Sunday, September 30.
