Nurse Jackie: Season 4 Will Hit Blu-ray In February

Nurse Jackie: Season 4 is headed to Blu-ray and DVD fairly soon. The acclaimed series stars Edie Falco as a tough cookie nurse working in a busy hospital ward in New York. She’s also a woman who happens to be battling an addiction to painkillers. Season 4’s engrossing set of episodes take a look at plotlines as varied as rehab, hospital dynamics, new uniforms, and sobriety. If that sounds like something you might be interested in, Nurse Jackie: Season 4 will be available on Blu-ray and DVD beginning on February 12.

Nurse Jackie: Season 4 is one of two big TV sets Lionsgate is putting out in February that will feature strong female protagonists, the other being the Weeds: Season 8 release. Like Weeds, Nurse Jackie features a slew of talented actors, including Eve Best, Peter Facinelli, Anna Deavere Smith. Season 4 also features a strong performance from Boardwalk Empire’s Bobby Cannavale, which earned the actor a primetime Emmy Award, and which seems to be addressed in the “Cruz Control” bonus feature with the set. So, if you thought he was good in Empire, you should be impressed by his performance, here.

Lionsgate’s Blu-ray and DVDs of the popular Showtime series will come with the same bonus, although Blu-ray copies will come in a 2-disc set and DVD copies will come in a 3-Disc set, likely due to space restraints. Cost will be pretty similar, regardless, with DVD copies running for $39.98 and Blu-ray copies going for a penny less at $39.97. You can check out the complete list of extras—although they could be subject to change—below.
